Living Promise Level Benefit Plan
Living Promise Whole Life is available in two different plans known as Level Benefit Plan and Graded Benefit Plan. With the Level Benefit Plan, your death benefit is equal to the full amount applied for beginning day one. This means your beneficiary would receive 100% of the total death benefit amount regardless of the policy year. THERE IS NOT A TWO-YEAR WAIT ON FULL DEATH BENEFIT.
This plan is available to those who are between the ages of 45 and 85. You can select a death benefit amount from $2,000 up to $40,000. In order to be eligible for the level death benefit plan, all medical questions listed on the application must be answered “No”.
With the Level Benefit Plan, you may also include additional riders to your policy. These options include:
- Accelerated Death Benefit Rider
- Accidental Death Benefit Rider
The accelerated death benefit is a one-time election for those diagnosed with a terminal illness that will result in death within 12 months. It also applies to those confined to a nursing home for 90 consecutive days or more and expected to remain confined. This rider is optional and does not cost extra.
The accidental death benefit rider ensures 100% payout if the death results from an accident instead of sickness or natural causes. This rider is optional and is available at an additional cost.

Living Promise Graded Benefit Plan
The Graded Benefit plan may be offered to applicants who do not meet the underwriting guidelines for the Level Benefit Plan. With the Graded Benefit Plan, there is a two-year limitation on how the death benefit is paid out.
Should death occur within the first two policy years, the death benefit that your beneficiaries will receive is 100% of all premiums paid plus 10% interest.
After policy year two beginning year three, your beneficiaries will receive the full policy death benefit for death due to all causes.
The Graded Benefit plan is available for those between the ages of 45 and 80. It offers face amounts between $2,000 and $20,000. Additionally, tobacco usage does not affect premiums. There are no available riders under the Graded Benefit Plan.

Applying for Guaranteed Issue Whole Life Insurance
If you do not qualify for either of those two coverage options, you may apply for Guaranteed Plus Mutual of Omaha Whole Life Insurance. This plan is very similar to the Graded Benefit Plan is it also has a two-year wait before it will pay out 100% of the death benefit.
The biggest difference between the two plans boils down to cost. The Graded Benefit Plan will provide coverage at more affordable rates whereas the Guaranteed Plus plan will accept all applicants regardless of health but at a higher rate.
The guaranteed plan allow you to obtain up to $25,000 of coverage. Other highlights of the guaranteed plus whole life insurance plan include:

- Funeral planning services at no extra cost
Guaranteed whole life is available for those between the ages of 45 and 85. This plan does not offer any optional policy riders.
